TAICS (Taiwan Association of Information and Communication Standards) signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Japan's ARIB (Association of Radio Industries and Businesses) and TTC (Telecommunication Technology Committee), respectively, for 5G standards between Taiwan and Japan, declared TAICS on July 12. ARIB has been dedicated to promoting international communication standards while TTC has devoted to various technology standards in the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) industry and has a great impact in the Asian-Pacific area over the years. Having over 100 members and partnership with many international organizations, TAICS is trying to establish the long-term partnership with Japan on 5G technology, IoT (Internet of Things) and ITS (Intelligent Transportation System).
